We believe in a greater good, in that our health, family and friends are the most precious aspects of our lives. Without caring, helping and fostering those aspects of life, we all would be missing out on what life has to offer.

Events, Causes, Charities that Timeshare Adventures has Donated To

In December 2004, a major earthquake followed by a Thailand Tsunami hit Asia and Africa, devastating many coastal areas. Almost 200,000 people in eight countries perished in a few hours, and over 100,000 are still missing. Many more had their homes and livelihoods swept away. The coastal areas of Indonesia and Sri Lanka and two Indian island chains bore the brunt of the calamity.

Timeshare Adventures donated $500 to the Red Cross, as the similarities of living in a tropical, coastal area made this a heartfelt disaster. Check for updates on the hard hit areas.

In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit the US as the 3rd strongest hurricane to make landfall. Timeshare Adventures donated $1010 to the Red Cross. Since we live in Florida, this tragedy hit very close to home for our employees and we imagined what if this type of storm would hit the Tampa Bay area. As we thought about what if, the people of New Orleans had to deal with reality and we wanted to help out.

Food For Thought

For over 3 years Timeshare Adventures has been donating funds and volunteering on a WEEKLY basis. Our volunteer work includes running food drives, stocking shelves with donated food and delivering meals.

Food For Thought is dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of men, women and children living with HIV. The food bank provides groceries, prepared meals, counseling and housing support to over 500 clients.

Timeshare Adventures donated $500 in support of Theresa Slifco who biked 585 miles through California to help raise awareness and support. 

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation provides a variety of vital services and programs that are designed to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS and to reduce the number of new infections that occur each year.

Timeshare Adventures donated $500 to family for burial.

Caletha Proctor, a single mother who has an 8-year-old daughter, quit her $7-an-hour hotel housekeeping job to care for Avant almost three months ago. The first-grader was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow, at 3 years old. Proctor struggled financially on her wages and monthly $600 Supplemental Security Income, so when she had to leave her job, the living room furniture, television and radio she had tried to buy through a rent-to-own company were repossessed.... more

Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary

Located on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida, the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is a truly unique place. Founded in 1971 by zoologist Ralph Heath, the Sanctuary is the largest non-profit wild bird hospital in the United States. It is staffed by experienced professionals assisted by over a hundred dedicated volunteers. Similar to a human hospital, it is equipped with emergency facilities, a surgical center, and indoor and outdoor rehabilitation areas. An average of 23-30 wild birds are admitted every day for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, approximately 90% of these injuries are directly or indirectly attributable to humans.

Private donations are the Sanctuary’s only means of support and for a small donation you can become a Member of the Sanctuary or join our Adopt-A-Bird program. With the continued support of people like you, the Sanctuary will be able to continue its life-saving mission for years to come!

Susan G. Komen

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.

In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. 

Coastal Conservation Association (CCA)

CCA is a non-profit organization comprised of 15 coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic seaboard. CCA’s strength is drawn from the tens of thousands of recreational saltwater anglers who make up its membership. From South Texas to the upper reaches of Maine, CCA’s grassroots influence is felt through state capitals, U.S. Congress and, most importantly, in the conservation and restoration of our coastal marine resources.

The stated purpose of CCA is to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of these coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.

Fishing Rights Alliance (FRA)

The FRA advocates the sustainable use of and access to marine fisheries. The FRA promotes reasonable and effective fisheries management policies primarily through community and political activism and user group interaction with the scientific community and the various regulatory agencies.

The FRA also endeavors to inform and educate the membership and general public about issues concerning access to marine resources. The FRA will actively defend the right to access.

To FRA acts to assure that fishery regulation is based on sound scientific methods using valid data and an accurate picture of the fishery.

All Children's Hospital

Founded in 1926, All Children’s has grown into a leading pediatric referral center that is dedicated to advancing treatment, education, research and advocacy in child health. Take A Kid Boating

Take A Kid Boating Foundation is working to pair children in need with families willing to share the life-changing experience of boating. At least once a year, the Foundation will sponsor “Take A Kid Boating Day,” a statewide initiative to encourage boaters to reach out with their rigging and their hearts to help a child in need.
