Talking questions when buying a timeshare

Hello, please offer me details, as I'm very new at this.

I've seen/read in a few places that it makes lots of sense to buy a timeshare vs. paying each time you go on vacation. However, other places tell you the disadvantages of owning a timeshare.

So, I can't be the only one who is in my boat.

What I'm looking for is the small print or the things you only find out after owning a timeshare OR find out that you "SHOULD have bought a timeshare, but didn't".

I imagine buying or not not buying each of their pros/cons --- it depends on the person and their situation, as I'm sure there are positive aspects of owning a timeshare and the opposite.

I'm hoping you can walk me through the process of when a person should buy a timeshare and not buy. --- I'll through this in as well --- when does it makes sense to rent a timeshare buying.

Details or a profile for people in each case would be very helpful.

I thank you for your time in advance!!!
Thank You!!

Default Timeshare/Vacation Ownership for who?

As you guessed, the reasons for buying a timeshare or vacation ownership are as varied as the individuals who buy/own them.

There are a number of benefits to vacation ownership and if you choose to purchase a timeshare on the resale market as opposed to buying through the resort directly you could save thousands. Timeshare Adventures offers a wide variety of timeshare properties at huge discounts over what the resort would charge for the same. This is what's appealing to our buyers. Our sellers satisfy their selling goals through our advertising efforts and the simplicity of our resale program.

Timeshare ownership is ideal for anyone who vacations regularly. There are many different types of timeshare ownership and if the property is used effectively it could save the owner a lot of money and enable them to travel to and visit locations that may otherwise be difficult or very expensive to book through traditional means.

Renting a timeshare is a great way to essentially "test-drive" a particular property before deciding to purchase it. Also, when compared to hotel room rates and the comfort of timeshare accommodations versus hotel rooms, a timeshare unit is clearly much more advantageous.

As long as you own 2 month's worth of time and the weeks you own are consecutive, you should be able to use the property for the 2 months you desire. If you own a point-based timeshare and receive 2 month's worth of points, you should be able to use the points to book consecutive weeks and vacation for the 2 months you desire.

I would recommend looking into your timeshare ownership information and/or contacting the resort to inquire about your ability to stay for an extended period of time.

Default Quarter Share Ownership

Hi Ivan,

Yes you can own 2-3 months worth of vacation time under one plan. There are multiple locations or many resorts that allow "quarter share" ownership. Your entitled to vacation for 3 months at a time if needed, your choice of those months will vary each year. I hope this information was helpful!
