Is it okay to sign a 'Limited Power of Attorney' form during the closing process? Recently, a friend of mine was asked to sign such a form by a timeshare closing company. They said it makes things convenient for them as they don't need to snail mail all the documents and stuff. Could someone clarify this?

I have discussed this with our timeshare closing department and the answer was that a Power Of Attorney is entirely unnecessary if the owner(s) of the timeshare can be available to sign the required documents to transfer the timeshare ownership from seller to buyer.

With all the things that must be done to finalize the closing of a timeshare and the readily available courier services, 'snail mail' is rarely an issue and can be avoided, if necessary.
