Question Labor Day Vacation Shift from Beaches to Big City Timeshare Destinations!

According to a survey by Hotwire.com the following locations as the top 10 vacation destinations for Labor Day 2007:

1. Chicago, Illinois
2. New York City, New York
3. Atlanta, Georgia
4. St. Louis, Missouri
5. Boston, Massachusetts
6. San Francisco, California
7. New Orleans, Louisiana
8. Las Vegas, Nevada
9. San Diego, California
10. Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Virginia

The recent trend seems to be changing from beaches to big cities and another survey by Priceline.com supports this trend:

A Business Wire - Press Release announced this recently, but did not specifically name why the trend has shifted recently from beaches to big city destinations. Some think the recent storms in certain beach based destinations could contribute.

Let us know what you think.

Default Timeshare Weather Woes?

I avoided my timeshare in Cancun while the resort rebuilt from hurricane damage a year or so back. We were able to use the week by exchanging with Interval, but we LOVE Cancun and really missed going. The weather does not make me want to visit a big city, I just exchanged for the opposite coast of Mexico and stayed in a very nice place in Cabo.
