Default Disney / DVC Timeshare News!

In an effort to balance-out occupancy during weekdays and weekends at Disney Vacation Club timeshare resorts, Disney is redistributing timeshare points.

It used to be that Disney timeshare required points were twice as many for weekend timeshare stay. This new DVC point redistribution is designed to ignite a higher demand for accommodations from Monday through Thursday.

I'm going to try to do some additional research into this recent Disney timeshare points change and I encourage and welcome any thoughts on this new DVC deal-- opinions, etc?

Question DVC timeshare points confusion

How is this going to generate more weekday DVC use/traffic - - ? Seems like it makes weekend timesharing more reasonable.

Default Disney Timeshare Points Change Explained

Here's my husbands explanation(economics guy) of the DVC timeshare point restructure:

By raising the DVC point values on weekdays they have, in essence, developed more supply on weekdays. You see, by lowering weekend points there is less supply so the same amount of timeshare point usage will yield a higher rate of occupancy.

Hubby had to explain a few times to me, but I get it now(I think).
