We are stuck in a timeshare and want to get out. It seems that there are several companies that can get us out but they all seem to be scams too! Can I please get some straightforward advice on what to do? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you have an expectation of quickly getting rid of your timeshare right now, I suggest you develop some patience. It is a buyers market and you will have a lot of competition to get a sale at all, much less sell for a decent price. Personally, I'd recommend trying to rent your timeshare or do something creative with it till the market/economy starts improving.
