Question Timeshares in eco-friendly places?

When I travel I prefer to avoid the usual tourist scene...the vacation "bubble" that the travel industry strives to keep people in. I want to be apart from the tourists and get to know the local people and what makes where they live so special. I recently read that Norway and Sweden are eco-friendly countries and that there are timeshares located there. Simply hiking or full on mountain climbing puts their visitors in touch with forest wonderlands and waterfalls. I didn't know that Sweden has sandy white beaches and over 24,000 islands to explore(did you?). My curiosity is getting warmed up and I'm wondering how I can locate timeshares in those countries. Plus, I'd love to hear about anyone who has actually visited there or other locations which are environmentally oriented.

Arrow Green Vacation Strategy = Timeshares

People are starting to realize that owning a timeshare is actually contributing to the bigger picture of environmental protection. That means that beyond finding an eco-friendly place to visit, users of timeshares are making a difference.
One difference? Many timeshare owners return to a favorite location and grow to love it. Because one's timeshare is a "home away from home", vacationers are more likely to take care of the environment around them. Returning visitors feel a connection to their special spot. Timeshare owners are likely to recycle, pick up after themselves, fight for local environmental causes and generally act like a local would.
Many families simply travel by car and vacation convenient distances from their homes. While at their "home away from home" they are familiar with the local businesses and services. Besides supporting the local economy, timeshare vacationers consume locally produced goods that haven't had to travel far.
Timeshare owners enjoy the reputation of being one of the most environmentally friendly travelers around!
