We own a timeshare at Maui Embassy Suites and love it. The rooms have just been re-done and upgraded. It is a great resort for couples and/or families and the location on the island is perfect to get anywhere.

Maui has so much to do for everyone. We stay busy our entire seven days and have a blast.

John, is it difficult for you to find a family to rent while you cannot vacation, and do you turn a nice profit even after maintenance fees and other fees?

A resort located on the beautiful Kaanapali Beach, Embassy is a great place to stay when on a vacation. Booking tickets in advance certainly helps, since the resort is mostly completely taken up during the popular vacations months.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and well, just roomy. The bathrooms too are big. The best thing about the rooms is the magnificent view. Since the resort is located right on the beach, it offers its guests a view of the oceanfront that can only be called spectacular. Watching the crystal clear water and blue skies is enough to soothe anybody’s stressed-out brain.

All that a visitor has to do to enjoy this place is to get caught in the myriad of activities available. No matter what you feel like doing; sailing, fishing, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or just strolling about the beach on cool evening; well, you name it, you got it. However, no matter what you miss out on, make sure you don’t fail to catch that most famous of Hawaiian specials – the sunset. From experience, I can tell you it can only be described as well, indescribable.

There’s also plenty of stuff for kids to do. There’s a great pool with waterfalls and a waterslide for the kids, not to forget some nice games in the game room as well. The complimentary breakfast here is great and it's made even better with a free cocktail hour.

However, one of the best things about this place, the one that contributes greatly to a lot of people's decision to stay here is the friendliness and extremely helpful attitude of the staff. They are always there to help, with a smile and a courteous attitude. All in all, a highly recommended place to stay.

Maui may be the perfect location to purchase a timeshare in. First for your own visiting pleasure, and then for the fact that the popularity of Maui makes your timeshare retain its value towards trading and exchanging. I read recently in the Hawaii Insider that there are great deals available this season due to slowing travel trends. That says to me that this is a good time to rent, if you're not ready to buy.

Guess that would also make Maui the best place in the world to have a timeshare!
