Located on a cliff in the Sierra Nevadas is the breathtaking Ridge Sierra resort. The place nestles among fabulous natural splendor with a magnificent view of the Carson Valley below.

The spacious rooms offer you great views of the pristine Lake Tahoe and the surrounding scenery is enough to leave you spell bound. All the units are tastefully decorated with some of them offering a pullout couch, should you need one. There is a complete kitchen available with every unit. Cook up your favorite delicacies, while you soak in the views. This is one great way of spending your vacation.

Try lazing around in the Jacuzzi or chill out in one of the pools. The water is clean and a lap or two is certain to refresh you. Kids can have the time of their lives in the recreation center or in the playground area. The restaurant on site serves every dish on the planet. Tennis, golf, racquetball, basketball, you name it and Ridge Sierra offers enough sports facilities to make your time a well spent one. Should you need anything, the convenience store is always there for you, again on site.

The friendly staffs go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Getting cozy around the fireplace, followed by a romantic dinner is another way of spending a leisurely day in Ridge Sierra. One cannot but leave with unforgettable memories of Ridge Sierra.

A short drive up a winding road takes you into Tahoe timeshare territory that is off the lake. At the very top rests The Ridge which is a perfect facility for a family vacation. Besides indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs there is just about every sport you could think of...miniature golf, basketball, tennis...a recreation area with a movie theater, ping pong, arcade games...and numerous rooms with pool tables. This is the back side of Heavenly and you can catch a ski lift right outside the resort. You can easily catch a shuttle to get to the casinos and shopping. There's a nice bar with very friendly staff. The rooms were adequate & clean, but not newly built (think formica vs granite counters)...at least the one we stayed in. This is a super place for a family vacation in the summer or winter.
