Default Timesharing in England

Another RCI exchange timeshare stay in England was at the Walton Hall in Wellesbourne which is in Warwickshire. This was just a 15 minute drive from Stratford upon Avon. Our timeshare was actually in the old stables (coach house) with a view of Walton Hall, which was an elegant huge country home in the heart of the Cotswalds. The Mordaunt family created their ancestral home, Walton Hall, back in the 1500s. From there we visited the Warwick Gardens, Bleinham Palace and Shakespeare’s home and theater at Stratford upon Avon. Shakespeare was born in 1564 (you can visit his birthplace, too) and married Anne Hathaway in 1582. Her cottage is also a popular attraction.
What really impressed me was the Rollright Stones, a sacred site, on a hilltop above the Warwickshire village of Long Compton. These stone monuments were erected in 2500 to 2000BC by some Neolithic peoples who had sophisticated beliefs about the afterlife.
There are no signposts, so you need to get good directions. I could see how J R Tolkien, another local author, gained inspiration and material for his tales from this ancient site.
Here are some more photos of our timeshare’s view of Walton Hall, Shakespeare’s gravestone, Anne Hatheway’s cottage, the Rollright Stones and Warwick Castle.

Thumbs up Magical location

I never read Lord of the Rings but when I look at your photos I can imagine how Tolkien was inspired by those Rollright Stones and those ancient castles. I'm amazed, too, at how you used your timeshare and RCI exchange advantages to visit such historical places.
