Cool Information I should look out for while renting a timeshare?

Hi everyone,

I currently own a timeshare in Florida and I'm thinking of renting another two bedroom suite at the same resort. I need to make sure I get the exact same suite I'm looking for without getting scammed. Apart from lease agreement, what kind of other details should I demand from the owner of timeshare? Or is a copy of lease agreement enough to verify the details with the resort? I'd appreciate some input.

Thanks.

I'd suggest asking for a copy of the maintenance fee receipts and a copy of the ownership deed. But in most cases, the ownership number alone would suffice. You can just ask the timeshare owner for his ownership number and verify with the resort.

Thumbs up Get Time share resort unit number

I would think you could just get the unit number and confirm what size or type the time share rental is. Most resorts only offer a few styles of units. Confirm the time share rental details directly with the resort and make sure the lease you use states the unit number and size/type.

Hope this is helpful-Parker
