Looking for a place in Florida to rent for the week including May 10th, Mothers' Day. I want a place where I can take my Mother who is a young 87. I'd like a peaceful, uncrowded location on a beach. Some place that would be good for beach walks and book reading. She really likes staying in a condo with a nice kitchen. My budget isn't huge either, so I'd like to find a good deal. Am I asking for too much?

Siesta Key, in/near Sarasota, Florida! We love it- quaint, quiet & beautiful! Not sure about timeshare in the area to rent, but I would think so. Be sure to check the surrounding areas as well.

Thanks for the tip Quepaz. I checked Siesta Key out on line and it does look like a good choice. In addition to the beach you would have Sarasota right there for seeing some fine art and the Ringling Museum. I am already familiar with Longboat Key, so I know it is a part of Florida that would be more what we would be looking for. And, to top it off, Dr. Beach declared that Siesta Key was the 3rd Best Beach in 2008. Hope that didn't make it too popular. I found timeshares to rent on Longboat Key, but not yet on Siesta Key.
