Default Ripped off by ITravelCompanion

Last Septemer contracted with Sell My Timeshare Now for (9) rooms at the Grand Mayan Acapulco. Paid $14,000 for the rooms and $40,000 for the airfare for 43 friends and family members. For months tried to get confirmation numbers from SMTN for the rooms to no avail. Just last week, 2 wks before my group is scheduled to check in at the Grand Mayan, SMTN admitted to being taken by ITravel Companion, AKA: ITC. Evidentally ITC represented that booking had mistakenely not been secured as previously indicated. They agreed to pay for alternative accomodations. However, ITC has failed to do that, and has ran with the money, according to SMTN. Now, just one week before our check in, SMTN has promised to pay for other reservations at the Grand Mayan that I have personally found and secured with my own credit card to the tune of $21,700! I now am assured of a room, but time will tell if SMTN's word is good and they make good with the reimbursement! I'll keep you posted.

Default Sell My Timeshare Now/I Travel Companion rip off

Hello bonnettlk.
That sounds like a very stressful situation for you...sorry, and hope it does turn out okay. That is alot of money to lose. I didn't know that Sell My Timeshare Now did more than help people sell and rent their timeshares. Sounds like they were acting as a travel agent. I do know that any resort in Acapulco will be more than happy to accommodate visitors since their recent bad press news about drug related violence. This is the perfect time of year to visit their beautiful city and I have a feeling they will be rolling out the "red carpet" for all. Good luck!
