I am trying to help my father sell his timeshare. He has 2 weeks at The Carriage House in Las Vegas. How do I determine what is the best selling price?

Thanks for participating in our forum. This question is very common and answered best by advising any timeshare owner that the most important thing is that the timeshare being sold is priced less than the new ownership's are being sold for at the resort directly.

How much less than the resorts' new price really depends on where and what is being offered. Some timeshare properties can be priced a lot closer to the resorts' new price than other properties and differences in usage, units, weeks, point and a number of other factors can create a variance in price as well.

Timeshare Adventures can offer guidance in regard to pricing, but ultimately the asking price and what amount is accepted is determined by the seller.

Hello ckamin.....Be sure to check and see what other timeshares just like yours are being marketed for. Price them competitively based on the others you see. Remember that a buyer is looking to save money.

How to you ask? Simply done....Put a fair price on your timeshare property and advertise it on a website that gets a lot of offers such as this site or another of your liking.

Unlike traditional real-estate, assigning or determining a reasonable timeshare asking price can be a bit tricky. As mentioned above, you could explore this or other timeshare resale sites to find out what other timeshare owners who have a similar timeshare are asking. I like to recommend contacting the resort and inquiring what an ownership like your is selling for currently at the resort and then pricing yours less than their "new-resort-pricing". The greater the margin of savings you offer-- the more attractive it will be and, in theory, sell more quickly.
