Sale Of Timeshare Points / Credits?

Hi Guys- I got to tell ya that this site is impressive and I've got a lot of information from the website and especially this forum, but there's one thing I still need help with

I own 2 timeshares and I have been able to determine the value of one because of reading the advice in these forum posts, but my 2nd timeshare uses credits instead of an actual week like the first one I bought. I have tried to contact the resort and ask about the value of the timeshare/credits and and the salesman who sold it to me has given me the "runaround" and even tried to sell me more credits! I think I've talked to just about everyone at the resort because they keep transferring me around and I know nothing more than what I did when I started this research. I really need some help here and it looks like this is THE place to ask.

My timeshare is a Worldmark by Trendwest vacation timeshare and I get 6,000 credits each year, but I currently have a total of 12,000 because I didn't use it last year. How do I determine the value of a timeshare like this and will these extra credits increase the asking price? Any help would be appreciated because I think I've reached a dead end....

These point-based timeshare ownerships seem to be the future of timesharing. Many timeshare developers are setting-up their timeshare sales this way and it can be good because of the versatility it offers. Determining fair resale market value, however, can be difficult with some developers and quite simple with others. Factors such as the number of points/credits, the home-base resort, and other criteria can effect pricing in some instances.

As mentioned in some other areas of our forum, I would recommend looking at similar 'Ad Listings' and also consider what you paid when you bought the timeshare. Forget about recouping the finance charges and any maintenance fees paid. Offer distinct savings when compared to the resorts pricing and, if possible, what other owners are seeking.
