Default In the process of selling my timeshare

I'm currently in the process of selling my timeshare. I've only had this timeshare ever since Feb. 2008. I've made the wrong choice and now I have a lot more things to take care of as far as bills go. The timshare is through WorldMark by Wydumn the club includes 6,000 points. I haven't taken any trips or anything yet. I don't want this to be a burden to me anymore. I can't afford to make the payments now. The account is still in a probation period since I have to pay $1,600 up front. Please advise me on what I should do. If selling it is the best choice.

Recently, I've been searching online and requested some information from a few sites. one offered me to pay a $599 upfront fee before listing the timeshare. I can't even afford to pay my timeshare anymore I'm not even sure where i'm going to come up with this $599 to get my timeshare listed....

help help..... i'm in desprate need.

Arrow You have options!

Hey Sykes, that's the whole reason I started using this company. I used them for rental services and then used the money from that to put it up for sale. If your in the same boat I was, the resort charged me a hight interest rate (17%) so the longer you keep it the further n2deep you go and you'll never recoup your money. Even if you take a 2k hit on the price, you'll save yourself even more in finance fees over the course of the next couple of years! Hope my personal experience is helpful!

Default Might be something else you can try...

Hi Sykes & n2deep, can't he just call the resort and tell them he's not able to finish paying the deposit (probation period) and forfiet the money he's paid so far. That would still be better than to continue to pay for until a rental or offer to buy occures? beachfreak
