RCI Points Versus RCI Weeks
I thought I would compile a quick comparison/contrast between the RCI Points & the RCI Weeks programs. This is based on some internet research done and, as always, we welcome any and all input, opinions, etc. SEASON Points: Travel/reserve any week/season of the year provided point-allotment allows. Availability is on a first-come first-served basis, so advanced requests are advised for peak-season. Weeks: Week usually is reserved during a set-season and/or same week every year. Some ,who require/wish to travel during holidays or peak-season, having an guaranteed week/reservation is desirable. USAGE Points: RCI Points members can book a single night or a month, depending on the number of points available(7,10,15, or 21 nights or more depending on how you use the points). Basically, stay as few as one night or as many as desired. Weeks: Nearly all weeks owners required to use an entire week each year. 7 Nights maximum usage/must use for a full week. UNIT Points: Members may choose any size unit if they have enough points to book and there is availability. Weeks: Weeks owners usually have a set unit size to choose from(same as deposited or smaller) when arranging their reservation. CHECK-IN/ARRIVAL DAY Points: Check-in the day you want for check-in nightly stays at many RCI Points resorts. Weeks: Pre-set check-in/arrival day.
I'll do my very best to keep this updated and, again, welcome any input.
