Hope, Idaho is home to the Pend Orielle Shore Resort. The location is right on Lake Pend Orielle (pronounced: Ponderay) with the Selkirk Mountains surrounding it. It's the far north of Idaho, where one can view Montana, Canada and Washington all at one time. Up there the air is fresher, the water's clearer, the stars shine brighter and life is good. I visited there this past July and have a few photos that work better than words. Rumor is that this area is the next "Lake Tahoe". Nearby Sandpoint is a deceptively small town with clever shops and gourmet dining. I loved going out to eat by boat. There is a great restaurant right on the water at Pend Orielle Shore Resort. Boats and docks and fishing with views. Whether you want to snow ski or water ski, you will love this beautifull vacation spot. Hope you like my photos.
